Founding cohort opening soon — validation stage
When buyers ask AI what to buy, it names a short list.
Are you on it?
OnTheList asks ChatGPT and Google's AI answers the questions your buyers ask, records which brands get named — you or your competitors — and hands you a short, plain-English fix list to earn your slot.

How it works
We ask the questions your buyers ask
Tell us what you sell. We build the real buyer questions for your category — "best X for Y", "X vs Y", "what should I use for Z" — and put them to ChatGPT and Google's AI answers (AI Overviews & AI Mode) on a schedule.
You get a visibility score — with receipts
How often you're named, where in the answer, and how that trends. Every score links to the actual answers we captured, so you can read exactly what AI said about you. No black-box numbers.
See who took your slot
For every question where you're missing, we show which competitors were named instead, and which sources the AI cited to build its answer — the pages it trusts that you could be on.
Fix the five things that matter
A short, prioritized fix list in plain English: the missing price page, the comparison content you don't have, the facts AI gets wrong about you, the cited sources you're absent from. Do the fixes, watch your score move.
What we'll check for your brand
This is the shape of every OnTheList report. The example below uses a fictional brand — your founding-cohort check uses your real site and your real competitors.
Named in answers
7 of 24
Named first in 1 · Named at all in 7 · Absent in 17
Who got your slots
- Summit Snacks — named in 19 of 24
- Basecamp Bites — named in 14 of 24
- Wildridge — named in 9 of 24
What AI says about you
"…a smaller brand with limited flavor options" — your site lists 11 flavors. AI is working from an outdated third-party listing.
Your top fixes
- Add a pricing page with per-bar prices. In 6 comparison answers, your row showed "price not listed" while Summit Snacks showed numbers.
- Publish a "TrailMix vs Summit Snacks" comparison page. AI answers the "vs" question from your competitor's page today — you're not in it.
- Correct the flavor count on the two directories AI cites. Both list 4 flavors; AI repeats it.
- Get listed in the roundup AI cites most. One review site sourced 9 of the 24 answers. You're absent from it.
- Add structured product data (schema) to product pages so Google's "official site" slot can identify your pages as the source.
Built for small brands, not marketing departments
Small SaaS products
Your buyers ask ChatGPT "what's the best tool for…" before they ever Google. If a competitor is the default answer, your comparison pages and pricing page are how you take the slot back.
Shopify stores
Shoppers ask AI what to buy and get a 3-brand answer with a comparison table. OnTheList checks your products the way a shopper's question would — and the same engine will power our upcoming Shopify catalog check.
OnTheList is in validation. We're opening a small founding cohort first, building the tracking engine with their categories, and charging only when it works for them. If that's you, the waitlist is the front door.

Questions
Is OnTheList live yet?
Not yet — we're in validation and opening a founding cohort first. You can run a free one-off visibility check right now on our check page, and joining the waitlist gets you the full report plus a founding-rate lock at $79/mo if you join when we launch. We'd rather prove it on real brands than launch a dashboard nobody needs.
Which AI answers do you track?
ChatGPT and Google's AI answers (AI Overviews and AI Mode) at launch — those are where most buying questions land. We're building the engine so more engines can be added without charging you per engine.
AI answers change constantly. Isn't a "score" meaningless?
Fair question — AI answers are genuinely volatile, and any tool that shows you a single precise number without evidence is overselling. We sample answers repeatedly, show you the actual captured answers behind every score, and focus on the durable part: which sources AI cites and what facts it uses. The fixes those reveal don't stop mattering when an answer changes.
I'm on Shopify. Is there anything store-specific?
Yes — shopper questions ("best X for Y under $50") and comparison-table answers treat stores differently from software. We check product-level visibility, and the same engine will power a dedicated Shopify catalog check (are your products described accurately, priced, and citeable?) for waitlist members.
Why $79? Other tools charge $200+.
Because we're built for brands without a marketing team, not agencies managing forty clients. One flat plan, no per-engine add-ons. If it doesn't earn its keep in recovered visibility, it shouldn't cost enterprise money.
What happens after I join the waitlist?
We run your free first visibility check as founding spots open, email you the results, and invite you in cohort order. No card is taken at waitlist stage, ever.
